Light roast coffee can be delicious, bright and fruity, sold in bags covered with tasting notes. But if you like darker roasts – big, rich cups of coffee that are easy to brew and lower in acidity – you’re out of luck. Left drinking whatever commodity-grade, faux-italian coffee is left on the supermarket shelf.
After spending some time in Japan and the US, we knew it didn’t have to be like that. Dark roasts can be complex, vibrant and delicious, made with green coffee from farmers that are paid a fair price.
